I finally finished this book. & this is the version that i have too. :) & Went to check out the online catalogue at the lib and hahahahah, they dont stock books that advocates profanity. But they have 2 of Salinger's other works though. & i borrowed them :D

Well, the book is seriously one chim shit. & i still cannot understand why is it so significant that it's rated by TIME mag as one of the 100 best english novels from 1923 till now (2005). There seems to be something lingering in mid air and some kind of uh message that's trying to be conveyed in the last few chapters but i can't get it properly. I'm rather terrible in that aspect as far as i know. Still, i'm determined to understand a literature book on my own, even if it is not required as one of my A level text.

Wrote out my list of homework to be completed and i realise with great shock that THERE IS A HUGE PILE TO BE DONE.

/edit{ OH my worddd, i checked the BBC website and it writes that the top 100 books most read so far (2003) has these following results. #15 catcher in the rye & #17 great expectations HAHAH, & my dear alchemist is a lowly #94. HAHA & WIKIPEDIA STATES THAT there were plans to make the alchemist into a movie since 2003 but production has been stalled due to uh, many complicated reasons.
