National Day Celebrations.
I vagely remember my primary school national day celebrations. I only remembered that wushu had to perform once for it, or was it mid-autum or cny i really can't remember. Haha.
Come to think of it, this is the FIRST NDC i'm having without Guides. Wow. Sec 1, i was really excited to spend my first NDC with BP, everything was such an eye-opener, the UGs, the march pass, the celebrations in the hall, the seniors that homecome & flood the school... Wow... I dont really recall if i was part of the contingent... sec one was a pretty vauge year for me. All i remembered was that i spent lessons talking to YingZi and making SOBs (Showers of Blessing/Eraser dust) and sprinkling all over Gladys and Cui. Haha, & we'll communicate with Jonathan and Mark through the Duty Roster Book by drawing lots of crap pictures of bloodshed(from them) and pigs(from us & no prize for guessing who we're drawing) and thus leading to the forming of the F5( Faggot 5 - Mark, Magnus, JinQuan, WillyBoo & Jonathan) and conjuring up silly nicknames like DOAP and DOM (Dirty Old Ah Pek & Dirty Old Man) for Mark and Jonathan who were hell irritating sitting behind us. Oh, we'll also ocassionally engage in fights by emptying the whole of jonathan's meagre stationary in his pbox and using it as flying darts, wow, i was so aggresive and accurate in my throws that they'd call it the "Bei Xi Shen Gong". HAHA, it was hell hilarious! I would kick up a total fuss if anyone were to irritate me man! Tsk, such adolesence! Ok, so sec 1 wasnt really that vauge.
Sec two was pretty memoriable, i know i was part of the contingent, and it was hell tiering to have to report to school early lunging guides boots and uniform and blablabla and be neat and wiggle your toe and all the crap. I was taking pride in it though, and took the march in seriously, come to think of it, i thought i was fun. :/ ohwell, guess ive grown up and changed, :) for the better of course. & another thing, i was the emcee for the celebration held in the hall too! HAHA, please i was so scared! and it turned out to be much of a flop cause i was like speaking softly and mumbling lah. zzz!
Sec 3... yeah, booboo, contingent again... lots of practices under the hot sun, lots of "trainings" boobooboo... zzz
sec 4... HAHAHA, oh yeah! i was in the color party! is it? or the flag party or whtever you call the 6 people that hold the flag and march in and fold it lah. haha. coool, that job was so much better than being some shrimp in the contingent lah. :D & i gladly forsake the contingent commander post for MX cause oh man, you can see by this time ive already been tainted by the true blue colors of guides la, i was damn sick of it already and tried my best to get out of this entire shit, but aye, i'm still ultimately a responsible little kid ok, i must always remember to lead by example.
This year, i took part in the NDC too, and made a total fool out of myself! Ignis seriously pale in comparison to other houses man. & as Huzaifah said: " I dont know whether it is cause we are bad in ideas generation or the HAT did not put in enough effort, we are damn sucky. " Well, i felt he made a lot of sense but... honestly, i thought we were pretty ok, and the hat put in pretty much effort...i guess we were... or rather, the other houses totally out leaged us... Sometimes, i really wanna contribute my part to the hse, and do more for them, there's like so much i can help and do! but then i realise, im not in council! im not part of the hat! and if someone thinks that there needs and must have a change, im not the one who should be doing it! What do i get out of it? What about my results? What about hockey? Hmm, i guess this is why i am a more T than F person.
& Sometimes, i'm jealous of other houses, especially Solaris & Terra, Solaris seems to be able to work really well tgt, somehow... and i see people like jin, so passionate about the house... i dont think i'd ever be this passionate... but you know passion rubs people off, if you see your house memebers so desperate, so determined, so... heart and soul... you would wanna do your best and help contribute your part and not let the rest down right! & What i like about Solaris is that their hard work somehow are always rewarded :D Which is great! Because this would spur them on to work even harder! Work even better tgt! Pwn the rest of the houses! Terra... terra is such a fun house, and anyhow whack house... when i first step into NJ, i wanted to be in terra so bad! Its so green! & yay for green! Haha... terra has really strong hse spirit, and even though they may not excel in everything that they do, at the very least they unite the house! they somehow make people feel proud to be in terra! they have this never say die spirit that i really like. I love terra!(omg i sound like a big fat traitor.) I guess the thing about ignis is that we sorta do most things for the sake of doing only lah, success is measured by the amount of hard work you put in... doing for the sake of doing will not lead to success and be deserving to win... aye.
Wonder how NatDay is celebrated in other JCs and Polys...
Oops, guess i digressed... & i can hear Ng Siew Cheng's voice " That's the problem with arts stream students." zzz.
